Integrated dance and theatre
Lucy Bennett and many of the other teachers at brighton dance diversion have experience of working with dancers with and without disabilities.
At brighton dance diversion we endeavor to promote inclusivity within dance and theatre. If you are passionate about dance and theatre but need a little extra support in participating in the summer school, do not hesitate to get in contact.
Check out StopGAP Dance Company.
Street Arts and Site Specific Theatre
Lucy Bennett is particularly interested in the Street Arts movement and site-specific work. Street Arts has always been popular in Brighton and involves making theatrical work for and inspired by the outside environment. In this time of funding cuts within the arts making theatre outside and in alternative spaces will keep the arts alive.
In the future brighton dance diversion would like to include a few students within a street arts or shop window workshop and performance.
If this sounds interesting to you check out Periplum, World Famous and Wild Works. Let Lucy know at the summer school if this is an area you to are inspired by.
